IMAGINEX Productions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a focus on creating and presenting theatrical productions.

 

Based in Central Connecticut we will be presenting a wide variety of performances across the state.  These will include dramatic plays, musicals, concerts, and other presentations, all with a new twist. What makes us a bit different from most community theater groups and their productions is we are combining the acting performances, make-up and costumes, with creative lights, sounds, music, video and multi-media presentations to create a new type of experience for the audience. We will be working to bring the audience into the story, and leave them feeling they just experienced something they have not seen or heard before.

 

These productions are not locked into one venue, but rather they will be presented as multiple performances around the state in different locations over a number of weekends.

 

IMAGINEX Productions was formed by a group of friends that all had a love of theater in all it’s forms. Each member brings their own time, talents and experiences, as well as their own passion for creating and growing a new kind of company that will create and produce new events each year.

 

And while we are a registered non-profit company, with a Board of Directors, Bylaws, Bank Account and Insurance – we are doing this for FUN. Fun for us and the people that come see our productions. All the revenue generated will go towards covering our expenses, and going towards future productions.

 

Our first production is “The Night America Panicked” recreating live on stage the 1938 broadcast of The War of the Worlds by Orson Welles and his Mercury Theater group. This will be different from what most come to expect in a community theater group. And it is just the beginning.
